Media and the Inner World in association with Em-Lou Productions and The Drill Hall presents Mysterious Minds: Remembering, Forgetting and the Mystery of Misguided Desire a panel discussion after the Monday 19 September performance of Mysterious Skin.
Mysterious Skin is based on the novel by Scott Heim, was adapted by Prince Gomolvilas and directed by Peter Darney.

Peter Darney: Theatre director whose award-winning production of Mysterious Skin has played Edinburgh’s Gilded Balloon and the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. His highly acclaimed sell-out production of Edward II ran at the Rose Theatre, Bankside, earlier this year, and last year his Arden of Faversham was nominated for Best Production in the London Fringe Awards.
Carol Leader: Formerly an actor, writer and presenter, Carol Leader worked extensively in theatre, TV and radio before re-training as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She is in private practice, works as a consultant in business and for arts projects and lectures and leads seminars in a number of educational settings. With Prof Brett Kahr she is ‘psychotherapist at large’ for the newly launched Free Associations, now available as a journal on the web.
Dr Valerie Sinason: Clinical Director of the Clinic for Dissociative Studies, London, and psychoanalyst and child psychotherapist.
Dr Candida Yates: Reader in Psychoanalysis, Culture and Society at the University of East London, and Co-Director of Media and the Inner World, the Arts and Humanities Council Research Network at Roehampton University and the University of East London.
